THINKARTWORKTT presents REPRESENT Vol. 2 in collaboration with the CARIFESTA XIV theme Connect, Share and Invest. From the 14th to the 29th August a series of artistically cultural based events, showcases and imperative creative discussion panels will be conducted for all to attend,contribute and participate.
The Caribbean Festival of Arts, CARIFESTA, has assumed a pre-eminent place among the elements that define and give expression to the uniqueness of our Caribbean reality. Like other significant institutions such as cricket, CXC, and CARICOM that symbolise a Caribbean commonality, the Festival reinforces our unity in the midst of our splendid diversity
REPRESENT VOL.2 is a series of creative showcases fixated on highlighting the uniqueness of Caribbean Culture, Unity and Empowerment. It is both metaphoric and literal in its origins as every individual represents a different aspect of the culturally and creatively diverse “Melting Pot” that is referred to as Trinidad and Tobago and by extension The Caribbean. Through these scheduled creative based events we plan to not only provide a platform for artwork to be showcased but to contribute to the revival of appreciation for our traditions, united regional presence and unique creative forms expression whether it be music, photography, literature, dance, painting, sculpture, drama, spoken word etc, as it is indeed important to take pride and continue to collectively appreciate what makes us truly Caribbean.
